THAI HOM MALI RICE

Thai Hom Mali Rice, widely recognized as Thailand’s signature rice, is celebrated around the world for its naturally delicate aroma and exceptional quality. This premium rice variety features long, slender grains with a distinctive texture and a subtle jasmine-like fragrance that sets it apart from other rice varieties.
Grown primarily in the northeastern region of Thailand, Thai Hom Mali Rice thrives under the region’s unique soil and climatic conditions. Unlike many other rice varieties, it is traditionally cultivated once a year, contributing to its distinctive characteristics and premium status.
Renowned for its fragrant aroma, soft yet slightly firm texture, and excellent taste when cooked, Thai Hom Mali Rice remains a highly sought-after choice among consumers, restaurants, and food distributors in Thailand and international markets.

It is characterized by its opaque grains and very low amylose content, which gives it a uniquely sticky and soft texture when cooked. Although glutinous rice is widely enjoyed throughout Asia, it serves as a staple food particularly in northeastern Thailand and Laos, where it plays an important role in traditional cuisine and everyday meals.
